“Christina's work plumbs the depths of imagination and subtle strata of mind beyond consciousness to penetrate life’s deeper meanings and inherent poetry. Vibrant color, exquisite detail, universes of pure mystery, constellations of magical elements, divine energies at play all characterize Burch's work which explores the sublime, mystical dimension of pure wisdom at the heart of appearance. Delving beyond the ordinary, her major source of inspiration is the emergent expression of symbols, figuration and abstraction which arise in the depths of meditation and contemplation. Besides the influences of western art, eastern art, contemporary art and the world’s spiritual traditions, the aesthetics of specifically taoist, tantric and italian painting continue to be very resonant in her work.”
